Family + Function = Fabulous

With Spring Market quickly approaching, I am still reflecting on my favorite market finds from the fall! After the start of 2019, I am looking forward to a year of Refresh, Reset, Renew. With a busy year ahead of new client renovations and remodels, I am looking forward to sharing my top trends and finds from fall market.

Walking through High Point brings me pure joy and excitement as there are always new and exciting things to see throughout IMC properties, and last October was no exception. Art, textiles, wallpapers, furniture and accessories - you name it! I was truly inspired by these finds and I hope you will be too!

When designing, I like to stick to my fundamental principle: Family + Function = Fabulous. Throughout market, I noticed myself constantly drawn to pieces that fit within this element. From performance fabrics to furniture that is “life-proof” my favorite pieces from Market are suitable for any lifestyle and will serve as perfect transitional pieces throughout each stage in your life.

Currey & Company

Currey & Company

You can’t help but start your Market experience by walking through Currey & Co. As soon as I stepped foot in the showroom, I absolutely fell in love with this collection of Morneau Brass Square Mirrors. Inspired by the handsome lines used during the Moderne Movement in Paris combined with contemporary cleanness!

Dowel Furniture

Dowel Furniture

This lovely little dining room chair from Dowel Furniture struck my eye. Talk about green with envy! This was my favorite piece from the Duncan Hughes for Dowel collection. Clean lines and beautiful upholstery, with a pop of green, which has the sophisticated look of a dining chair with the comfort of a living room chair!

Gabby

Gabby

Talk about functional and fabulous! This Gabby Xander Coffee Table with triangular cutouts serves as the perfect nesting places for these Wells Side Tables! Suitable for the everyday lifestyle – from kids to entertaining – this is fit for any space from an urban apartment with roommates to a suburban home with four children.

Natural Curiosities

Natural Curiosities

One of my favorite finds: Prairie Wind from Natural Curiosities! As part of the “Transient” series, this piece was created by photographing water and smoke patterns and is then finished with beautiful gold leafing.

Fabricut

FabricutFabricut

The perfect resource for decorative fabrics, trimmings, wallcoverings, decorative drapery hardware, and even finished window products! From traditional to transitional and even contemporary, there is a style, pattern, and even color palette for everyone!

Recapping a few of my favorites from October Market has me on the edge of my seat, ready to see what’s new and cutting edge this spring!
