Sandra Funk, House of Funk
Sandra Funk is the founder and principal designer of House of Funk, an award-winning full-service and online interior design firm with offices in NY and NJ. Sandra has an innate feeling about how a space should look, feel, and function, and uses her skills to redesign not only a room, but also her client’s quality of life.
Sandra was instilled with a passion for design and transformation from an early age. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Insurance from Michigan State University, later studying Interior Design at Parsons School of Design. Prior to starting her company, Sandra worked for a number of shelter companies, including Christopher Norman, Susan Fredman & Associates, and Ethan Allen, during which time she was featured on ABC’s ‘The View’ for designing the home office of Joy Behar.
In 2017, the firm won 2nd place in The ASID’ NY Metro Chapter’s Design Excellence Awards for living space design. Sandra’s design work has been featured in numerous publications, including Elle Decor, The Huffington Post, Apartment Therapy, Luxe Interiors + Design, Dering Hall, and Design NJ.
