Following the “Inside the Actor’s Studio” concept and format, renowned designer and TV personality Thom Filicia will discuss a variety of designer-focused topics as well as share insights from his life. Thom has been named by House Beautiful as one of their “Top 100 Designers,” and Elle Décor regaled him as an “A-List Designer.” Filicia has been featured in numerous magazines, newspapers and television shows including The Oprah Winfrey Show, Good Morning America, Ellen and the Emmy-Award winning hit show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Thom will share design how to’s and various trends while discussing his approach to design, clients and working within the design community. While drawing upon his experience, he will give general tips that will have a broad application for designers in their own projects. Thom will have a lively one-on-one conversation with Nick May, Host of The Chaise Lounge, and will take questions from the audience following the discussion.

Abbyson is partnering with tech leader Ivy on this inspiring panel that will feature talented designer and author, Christopher Kennedy, Ivy Designer Vanessa Helmick of Fiore Home, as well as Ivy Designer Lori Paranjape of Mrs. Paranjape Design + Interiors, one of the brightest talents in Nashville. Together they will share strategies they use to develop profitable business models for their firms and offer advice on how to build a practice that works for designers. The panel discussion will kick off at 4:00pm with hors d'oeuvres & champagne followed by mingling with the panelists and fellow designers. Prior to the event, Ivy and Abbyson will host a special demonstration at 3:00 pm giving attendees early bird seating and explain the benefits of both Ivy’s and Abbyson’s trade platforms.
