In this exciting presentation you'll hear about everything from the latest printing techniques to the Silk Road and ancient weaving arts and, most importantly, learn how to translate this knowledge into the right carpet solutions for your clients. Distinguishing between various types of handmade rugs -- hand-knotted, hand-tufted, hand-loomed and flatweave -- will become like second nature after completing the course. As will knowing the various fibers, finishes and textures available, design principles to consider, and what goes into ordering a custom product. You'll also come away with an idea of what's next in the carpet world.

Ginger Curtis is the owner and founder of Forth Worth based interior design firm Urbanology Designs. Her firm specializes in luxury residential and commercial design. You will find their style lends itself toward a cozy modern vibe with clean lines and organic elements. Most recently Ginger took home a 1st place Designer of the year award from the Interior Design Society, as well as Top 25 designers in Texas from Amara Living, HGTVs nominee winner for Faces of Design, and Tarrant County’s Fort Worthy award for Best Interior Designer. Recently Ginger has purchased an old fire station in the heart of North Richland Hills. This building will undergo a massive renovation and become the new home of the design firm, as well as an event space and executive/co-working offices. When Ginger is not running a business you will find her with the love of her life, Eric, and their 5 beautiful children. Spending time in the kitchen with her kids and teaching them how to cook is one of her favorite joys in life.
