Home Furnishings Lines to Debut in Historic Market Square for Spring High Point Market

Louise Gaskill Company and Tempo Home Join Historic Market Square Lineup

HIGH POINT, N.C. – (March 5, 2019) – Three new and relocated showrooms will debut in Historic Market Square for Spring 2019 High Point Market, joining more than 40 tenants in one of the Market’s distinguished destinations. Historic Market Square is a repurposed furniture factory that encompasses five floors of home furnishings product and includes the Antique & Design Center. Spring Market runs April 6 – April 10, 2019.

“Historic Market Square is a must-shop building for every marketgoer,” said Scott Eckman, executive vice president, president of furniture and home décor leasing for International Market Centers. “Historic Market Square continues to expand its presentation each market with designer-friendly furniture and home décor products.”

Two exhibitors new to Historic Market Square for Spring Market are Louise Gaskill Company (lighting) and Tempo Home (fabrics and decorative accessories); and Lane Venture (home furnishings) is relocating from the third floor to the first. These new and relocated exhibitors join notable tenants that include Asia Minor Carpets Inc.; Capel Rugs; Feizy Rugs; Hickory Chair; Hudson Valley Lighting; Kravet Furniture, Lee Jofa, Brunschwig & Fils; Pearson; Safavieh; Thibaut Fine Furniture; and Togar Rugs.

Lane Venture is based in Newton, North Carolina and offers fun and functional casual/outdoor home furnishings with a high-fashion touch. The Lane Venture line includes accent tables, chaises, cocktail tables, consoles, gliders, loveseats, ottomans and sofas, among other products.

“Being in High Point is critical to Lane Venture given that a substantial amount of our accounts are interior designers and traditional furniture retailers, particularly as the outdoor room continues to be a growth vehicle for both,” said Zachary Bryant, president of Lane Venture. “Being in Historic Market Square puts us right in the path of those types of customers, as the building has always been about finding that special product that adds excitement to a dealer or designers’ purchases. We are excited about showcasing our recent introductions and to tell our story.”

Louise Gaskill Company is based in Raleigh, North Carolina and offers unique lamps and chandeliers that are vintage in feel but new and modern in design - clean lines, vintage components and beautiful mid-century glass define the company’s pieces. Their line also includes sconces, pendants and rare collectible glass. For Spring Market, Louise Gaskill Company is relocating from a temporary booth in the Suites at Market Square to a showroom in Historic Market Square.

“The value of High Point Market to my company cannot be overstated,” said Louise Gaskill, owner of Louise Gaskill Company. “It puts me in front of designers across the country who otherwise would not have been aware of my lighting line. Moving to a permanent showroom in Historic Market Square furthers that exposure and in essence allows a yearlong presence. I can meet clients between markets and take full advantage of Showtime with my new drapery hardware line.”

High Point-based Tempo Home is a fabric and accessories line and manufacturer of decorative pillows and outdoor replacement cushions.

“Tempo Home is very excited about our new location in Historic Market Square,” said Tempo Home Chief Operations Officer Hal Romer. “We look forward to offering our expansive line of outdoor cushions and decorative pillows to a broader audience in the home furnishings industry. We are currently focused on selling to large home store chains and e-commerce sites and hope to expand our customer base into other areas of the home décor industry.”

New and existing tenants are also introducing new product at Spring Market. Hickory Chair is showcasing the Ray Booth Collection, which will include bedroom, dining room and living room furnishings and decorative accessories; Lane Venture is introducing the Hemingway Plantation, Jewel, Essentials Dining; Oasis and Jackson collections; Louise Gaskill is launching the Finial and Drapery Hardware Collection and Tempo Home is debuting the Terrasol Collection.
