    New and Expanded Home Furnishings Lines to Debut in IHFC at High Point Fall Market

    International Home Furnishings Center to Include Upholstery, Mattress, Case Goods, Accessory Lines During October Market

     

    HIGH POINT, N.C. – (October 9, 2018)  –  New companies making their International Home Furnishings Center (IHFC) debut at High Point Fall Market, running Oct. 13 – Oct. 17, 2018, will offer buyers and designers a cross-category lineup of home furnishings products.

    “IHFC has something for every Market-goer,” said Julie Messner, senior vice president of furniture and home décor leasing for International Market Centers (IMC). “No matter the buyers’ need, there are new offerings on many of our 12 floors, along with an assortment of styles and a variety of price points.”

    New IHFC exhibitors for October Market include: Auskin USA (H417); BRADLEY (IH502); Dowel Furniture (IH506); GQ Galleries (D508); Lenzi Marble Attitude (IH503); Unbelievable Mats (G365); Urban Barnwood Furniture (D1110); and Villa2 (H621). Expanded or relocated showrooms include: Dimplex (H745); Kenneth Cobonpue (IH202); Meva (H625) and Spicher and Company (D423).

    Urban Barnwood creates furniture pieces out of 100% reclaimed solid oak from barns primarily located in the Eastern United States. The Urban Barnwood line includes dining, farmhouse islands, chairs, bar chairs and bar stools, benches, bedroom and living room.

    “Urban Barnwood Furniture is excited to debut at the October High Point Market,” said Arlen Miller, marketing contractor for Urban Barnwood Furniture. “The Urban Barnwood brand was launched in 2014 after the owners had many years of experience in building other kinds of rustic furniture. Urban has the belief that keeping the process real and authentic, starting with hardwood oak harvested from real American barns and then heat treating the material to the perfect moisture content and exterminating all insects keeps the raw material unmatched in the market. The Amish craftspeople at Urban have truly set a high standard in craftsmanship and designs.”

    Natural fiber manufacturer Auskin USA is returning to High Point Market for the first time since 2014 with a permanent showroom. The company will showcase alpaca throws and pillows, cowhide pillows and leather baskets, Icelandic pelts and ottomans.

    “We are delighted to be returning to High Point this fall in our new permanent showroom,” said Mandy Coughlin, head of product development for Auskin. “Our new fabulous showroom is in the IHFC building and we look forward to welcoming old and new friends alike. We will have our full range of natural fibre home accessories available in our showroom. We look forward to seeing you there!”

    Villa 2 uses the finest qualities of wood and pairs it with superior metals and beautiful textures and finishes to offer collections that are complimentary to any design style. Villa 2 offers an extensive line furniture, home décor and lighting products.

    “With over 25 years of experience in furniture and lighting design, skilled craftsmen, and manufacturing, we are excited to share Villa 2 with North America,” said Lisa Olsen, chief executive officer for Villa 2. “Originating in Jodhpur, India, we have been designing and manufacturing furniture and lighting for distributors and retailers worldwide for more than two decades. Today, Villa 2 is able to distribute as well as manufacturer our collections eliminating the middle man and extending these savings to our buyers.”

    Calligaris, a manufacturer of functional furniture with contemporary design and flexibility, is celebrating its 95th anniversary and will be introducing about 70 products at October Market, including chairs, tables, sofas, bedroom, and occasional furniture, among other products.

    “Calligaris has made a commitment to pairing tradition with contemporary from the beginning – upholding the things that make a home ‘home,’ while always introducing a modern twist,” said Corey Washburn, marketing manager for Calligaris. “We started with a single chair and now furnish all areas of the home. Calligaris has grown as time has passed, learning with each introduction, each product, and following the latest trends in the market. With a team of the best designers in the industry, we have capitalized on our new introductions using innovative materials which have appealed to our growing consumer market each year.”

    Contemporary resources are part of the mix in IHFC’s Design Wing, and floors 5, 7, 8 and 10 offer a concentration of companies with a modern aesthetic.
